So it's been what, about a month, and I'm actually feeling way better than I was when I had the infection...The coughing is still there but it isn't as bad as before, thankfully. I was working on a portrait commission, which caused me to put off my Hiddles drawing but I hope I get the urge to finish (otherwise it will come out like crap if I try to strain myself).

And this may be completely off topic, but I got my Hot Toys Thor figure in today!! My local comic shop guy got him for me and I just paid him back. He also preordered Loki for me (which I've been waiting over 10 months for already) and now I just have to wait.....I can't anymore- it's killing me.

Just writing a quick update is all...

I haven't been drawing much due to the fact that I've been really sick & developed bronchitis. I also am on a breathing treatment which makes me super shaky and I am not going to risk drawing while like that...Hopefully I'll get better sooner than I hope and can get back to drawing. I really miss and want to finish my TH portrait. My fingers are crossed.

And also: I heard about the sad news with My Chem. Yes, I am very saddened by it, but I honestly am not shocked at all...It's been a while since I've heard anything about them and all I know is they will always remain a part of me 'til the day I die. I can't complain.

And Happy early Easter to those who celebrate and even to those who don't. I don't care- I'm cheery today so I'm throwing that out there.

I honestly feel like ripping my hair out. I can't even...I have no idea where to find an exact date because I just found out that the Loki Hot Toys figure isn't coming out until around March. Really?...REALLY?! I can't with this. I pre-ordered this damned thing through a friend of mine at the Comic shop 7, going on 8, months ago. And I paid well over $200 for it. It has now been pushed back 3 times. Then I heard that it won't be released until the 2nd quarter of this year (and if that's the case, I will fucking die.) I just can't. I don't even know where to begin to look for an official date because it's really starting to piss me the hell off.

Hot Toys needs to get their shit together. Seriously.

I really need the money & I've had such bad luck on ebay so I'm trying here instead, first.
I've only worn them once, to try them on and walked around in them for maybe half an hour and then took them off for fear of getting them ruined. Ever since then, I haven't touched them. They've been sitting in the corner of my room, gathering dust in their box so I figured I'd try and sell them to someone who would greatly appreciate them.
I'm still selling them a little high, $120 (shipping IS included, no sweat) since they're still brand new. I even washed them up on the bottom a bit because I'm that much of a perfectionist freak. But those who know how much I charge for shoes know that's half of what I normally charge for my custom shoes. Another thing is, these are all-around custom created. There is absolutely no other pair like them. They are a size 8 1/2 in Women's (6 1/2 in Men's) U.S. size.

I am also selling my pair of Avengers shoes I painted for myself. Those, too, are for $120 and are a size 8 in Women's (6 in Men's) U.S. size. These have a tad more wear on them on the bottom, near the "All Star" stamp on the heel (worn twice, for about an hour each time). They're still in great condition. You can see them here --> [link]

So I was randomly browsing tonight & saw someone do one of these things (again) and decided to just go ahead and do it too. I'm just doing this since there's absolutely nothing for me to do right now...I'm supposed to list a bunch of little facts that people don't know about me. I figured what the hell, it's nothing.

1. I taught myself to draw at the age of 7.
2. 7 also happens to be my lucky/favorite number.
3. I've always loved black cats. They're just so beautiful despite the myth of the poor things.
4. I am actually hearing impaired. I have no hearing in the my right ear and a little in my left.
5. I live in Gary, Indiana. So growing up, I was the only white/mexican girl in school. I was bullied a lot because of it. Every day was a huge challenge for me.
6. I used to play piano when I was little. I wish I could pick up on it again.
7. I am desperately wanting to learn guitar.
8. I've always pictured myself passing before the age of 25. I can never see myself in the future.
9. I don't ever make plans. They never work out. Instead, I just live every day as it comes.
10. My favorite animals are bats! I think they're adorable. I love sitting outside at night and watch them fly around.
11. Favorite move? Edward Scissorhands. It's the first movie I ever saw Johnny Depp in. I was five at the time and I remember that day perfectly.
12. Johnny Depp has been my favorite actor ever since.
13. The one movie that can make me laugh, and I mean REALLY laugh, is "Saving Silverman".

20. I still have a soft spot for Rico/Zombie Boy and I most likely always will. Despite almost everyone thinking he's an asshole or a dumbass, I love the guy. He's actually very sweet and the complete opposite of what many think of him.
21. I am obsessed with music! I listen to it at least two hours a day, no joke.
22. I consider myself sort of an old soul. I would love to live in the time of the great painters and overall artists. It must have been glorious back them.
23. I have a thing for stripes. I try to look for anything with black/white, black/grey/, black/orange stripes.
24. I can honestly say about 70% of my wardrobe is black...
25. I don't like saying this much, but my hair is actually curly and dishwater blonde...I dye it black and straighten that shit out. lol

So, I've been on less & less thanks to the whole computer issue but as of right now I'm not worried about it.

I'm mainly just here to bitch about someone trying to scam me (so it seems) on ebay for my Avengers shoes...But I'm not that stupid. Since they put a bid on them, they want me to send them off and have them in their hand first before they pay & I'm not having that. I've been scammed before, nothing too big thankfully, so I'm very careful with what I do these days...

Also, thanks to a certain commissioner and with the help of a friend at the comic shop I buy from, I was able to order my 1/6 scale Loki figurine this past Tuesday!! I'm so excited, I can't even stop smiling. I've been wanting this damn thing since I first saw the preview pictures a few months ago. And now I actually have one on hold. Sure it will be a few months before it's released but I don't care- as long as I know I'm guaranteed one, especially since they're limited edition, I can relax. Well, this is embarrassing.....

It seems as though I am having some technical difficulties with my computer...It only works for an hour and then shuts off due to "over heating" which never happened before so I don't know what's going on there... !

SO, for the meantime I'm going to be gone, but not permanently...I will be coming on every day for a few minutes to check on things and such until I come up with some money to get it fixed or get a whole new computer...Either way, I need to find a way to make some bucks. I've recently been thinking about selling throw blankets with my Loki painting on it (because I've recently got one done for myself and I absolutely love it) but due to the price of shipping and handling around here, I'm afraid it's quite high for those who are interested in buying so that might as well be out the window... This may come out of nowhere, but I've recently been getting ready to move into a new place. It's going to be at my mother's fiance's place, by the way. (They've been seeing each other for YEARS, and decided to make it official.)

I know he has issues with cats (which is a very long story) and as some of you might know I have a kitten named Loki that I've recently been given as a gift from my best friend about a month and a half ago. At the time we were talking about the big move & when he heard I got her, he was perfectly fine with it. Hell, he was happy because I've been so down since my cat went missing a few months back...

Well, I've just received some bad news. Now he's saying he "Doesn't want no damn cats in the house" and that Loki's not allowed over there when we move. If he would have said something in the very beginning, I could have found a loving home for her. I honestly don't even know what to do because within the short time period of having her around, I've come to fall so in love with her. She's one of the best joys in my life right now and just thinking about losing her just tears me apart..I've had to deal with so much stress and pain within the past couple of years. Hearing this news just made it harder on me.

BUT, I'm not going down without a fight. I refuse to give her up as if she's disposable. I'm too much of an animal lover to just give up..I hope things work out without getting too ugly...

Sorry for this random rant, but I had to get it out. I have no one to talk to about the situation at the moment, so I figured I'd write it out. :/

I understand my prices are high, hell I'm actually willing to negotiate them, but I take SO much time out of MY life to be able to do something for someone & I sure as hell don't do a shitty job. I want my client to be satisfied with what they receive from me so they should expect nothing less than the best of my ability.

Another thing? I want payment first. Because I don't want to be screwed in the end when I contact someone to tell them their commission is complete and then they NEVER respond back. That's hours/weeks of work that I will never get back.
